James Jenkins is a specialist Criminal Practitioner with many years of experience in serious crime. He is continually instructed in serious, sensitive and high profile cases. He is particularly experienced in sexual offences, child abuse, fraud, violence and serious drug crime.
James is a Grade 4 prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service and is instructed in a wide variety of cases for both prosecution and defence. He has acted as a junior advocate in high profile murder trials.
He was a Recorder in both the Crown and County Court for 10 years up to 2001 and continues to have a keen interest in Family Law areas. His interest in child care issues extends to acceptance of briefs in these areas.
James Jenkins heads up Iscoed Chambers’ Continuing Professional Development Programme. This includes a bi-annual ‘CPD evening’ for solicitors and members of the Bar, Advocacy Training for pupil barristers and ‘ad hoc’ sessions for firms of solicitors as requested. James is a recognised Bar Council trainer of trainers in advocacy.
