Ned was called to the Bar by the Middle Temple in 2004. He joined Chambers as a tenant after successfully completing his pupillage in criminal and family law. Since this time Ned has developed his practice in crime, family and general civil law.
Criminal
Ned regularly appears at the Crown and Magistrates’ Court for both the defence and prosecution. He has also appeared at the Court of Appeal. Ned prosecutes for a number of different agencies, including local authorities and the Department for Work and Pensions, and is a grade 2 prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service. Ned has a good following of defence solicitors and is happy to consider instructions throughout Wales.
Family
As part of his pupillage Ned spent time in a local authority child care legal department. Ned’s work now encompasses all areas of family law including public and private law children matters, ancillary relief and domestic violence injunctions. As a result of Ned’s experience in both criminal and family law he receives instructions from local authorities in disclosure applications where public interest immunity is claimed.
Housing
Ned provides advice and representation in housing cases appearing on behalf of both claimants and defendants in possession proceedings.
Civil
Ned’s civil work includes providing advice and representation in personal injury, employment and contractual dispute cases. He has experience appearing in small claims, fast track and multi track cases. Ned is happy to accept instructions on a conditional fee basis.
