Since joining chambers in 2001 Catherine has established a strong practice in crime. She has defended in cases across the criminal spectrum including fraud, people trafficking, homicide, serious sexual offences, drug offences and money laundering. Catherine is a grade 4 CPS prosecutor, a rape & serious sexual offences specialist and has received instructions to prosecute on behalf of the CPS Complex Casework Unit. She is a member of the Criminal Bar Association.

Catherine also has extensive experience in employment law: she has represented both Claimants and Respondents in a range of cases and has advised in relation to disciplinary hearings. Catherine is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
Originally from the Amman Valley, Catherine went on to study at University College London where she graduated with an LLB (Hons) degree in Law and a diploma in French Law. She completed her legal training in London, undergoing a pupillage at Thomas More Chambers.
Prior to commencing practice at the Bar, Catherine worked in the legal department of London Transport and as a research assistant in Simmons & Simmons in the City of London.
