Paul Hobson has a mixed Criminal and Civil practice at Iscoed Chambers.
Paul completed his education at Oxford University and was awarded a Scholarship in Law from Hertford College and the William Shaw Award from Gray’s Inn. He worked as a legal assistant in South Carolina on defence of death row defendants. He joined Iscoed Chambers as a tenant in 2001 after successfully completing his pupillage.
He has considerable experience in Criminal Law and has appeared at Courts of all level for both prosecution and defence. Paul is a Grade 3 prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service. He is instructed in a variety of serious cases including violence, drugs, serious sexual offences and fraud.
Paul also has a successful Civil Law practice which focuses on Personal Injury cases and Employment law. He has appeared at Tribunals for both claimants and defendants in particular in relations to claims under the Disability Discrimination Act and for claims for payment by employees under s.182 of Employment Rights Act 1996. He is willing to consider cases under Conditional Fee Agreements.
