Samsud was called to the Bar in 2011 and became a tenant at Iscoed after successful completion of a third-six pupillage under the supervision of Ned Gill. He previously practised at Clerksroom.

Samsud specialises in all types of family law including care proceedings, public law, private law children matters and financial settlements. He possesses the skill of understanding his client’s concerns and making them feel at ease in what can be an unsettling time in their lives. He has the reputation of supporting and understanding his client’s wishes and is persistent in obtaining a just and fair outcome.

Children

Samsud has developed a busy practice in private law children matters relating to Child Arrangements, Prohibited Steps and Specific Issues. He has gained extensive experience acting on behalf of parents, members of the family and the children’s guardian who have been appointed on behalf of the child.

Samsud's experience covers initial hearings right up to final hearings. He has experience relating to sensitive issues and has acted (although not exhaustive) in cases involving the following:

Samsud is often instructed on matters relating to the financial element following a breakdown of a relationship. He has experience in dealing with

• Financial Dispute Appointment Hearing (‘FDA’)

• Contested interim hearings on discrete issues

• Financial Dispute Resolution Hearings (‘FDR’)

• Final Hearings

Non-molestation and Occupation orders

Samsud has experience in representing those seeking/opposing such orders including at a final hearing.

Samsud is fluent in Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and also speaks basic Welsh 

Outside of work Samsud has a keen interest in travelling, exercising, football and other sports and spending time with his a family.
