Originally from South Wales Sarah attended Radyr Comprehensive School near Cardiff. She went on to study law at Reading University where she attained a 2:1 degree. Sarah was awarded the merit based Harmsworth Scholarship from Middle Temple Inn prior to beginning the Bar Vocational Course at Cardiff University, where she obtained an “Outstanding” grade. Upon being called to the bar in July 2008 she was the recipient of the Baron Dr. Ver Heyden de Lancey Prize awarded by Middle Temple for exceptional achievement on the BVC.
Sarah’s pupillage at Iscoed Chambers covered a very broad subject base covering all aspects of work undertaken by Chambers.
Upon completion of pupillage Sarah spent a 3 month secondment with a leading Family Solicitors firm in Swansea which gave her a firm base to develop her practice in all aspects of Family Law work. She now undertakes work on behalf of parents in Public and Private Law as well as Ancillary Relief and Injunction proceedings. She also regularly undertakes work on behalf of Local Authorities and Child Guardians.
Prior to joining Iscoed Chambers Sarah worked as a County Court Agent specialising in insolvency on behalf of banks, limited companies and individuals. Since becoming a tenant at Chambers she has developed this practice and undertaken Civil work at all levels from small claims to multi track trials.
Sarah has undertaken all types of Criminal work including prosecuting and defending in the Magistrates and Crown Court up to and including Crown Court trials.
