Barrister

Danielle was educated at Dyffryn Comprehensive School in Port Talbot and completed the LLB in Law at Cardiff University and received a First Class Honours.

Danielle was called to the Bar in 2015 after completing the Bar Professional Training Course, for which she received a Very Competent grade. Danielle is a member of the Honourable Society of Inner Temple.

Danielle joined Iscoed Chambers following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Paul Hobson (Criminal Law) and Philippa Ashworth (Family Law).

Danielle accepts instructions in all areas of Criminal and Family Law.

Criminal Law

Danielle appears regularly in the Magistrates Court as both Prosecution and Defence Counsel in a wide variety of matters including sentencing hearings, trials and the Youth Court.

She also routinely appears in the Crown Court acting on behalf of the Prosecution; including the Crown Prosecution Service, local authorities and the National Probation Service; and on behalf of the Defence.

She has experience appearing in a wide range of cases for a variety of offences including offences of violence, drug offences, sexual offences, environmental offences and driving matters.

Danielle is happy to accept instructions going forward in her career. She is currently a Grade 1 Prosecutor.

Family Law

Danielle has a keen interest in Family Law. Prior to undertaking pupillage, Danielle worked as a childcare paralegal for 3 years at a nearby Local Authority, where she gained significant experience working alongside Counsel and the Local Authority lawyers in care, adoption and special guardianship order proceedings to name a few.

Danielle appears regularly in the County Court undertaking both private law and public law hearings. This includes hearings for contact cases on a regular basis. She has recurrently been and continues to be instructed by Local Authorities, parents and the Children’s Guardian in care proceedings.
