Philippa Ashworth has a mixed Family, Civil and Criminal practice at Iscoed Chambers.
Philippa completed her education at St. Andrew’s University and then obtained her Law qualification at the College of Law, Chester. She joined Iscoed Chambers as a tenant in 2003 after successfully completing her pupillage.
She has a busy family law practice in which she is frequently in the Family Proceedings and County Courts. Philippa acts for Local Authorities, parents and guardians in child care cases, matrimonial cases including ancillary relief and co-habitee disputes. She has much experience in private law contact and residence proceedings.
Philippa is instructed in Civil Law cases involving Personal Injury, Housing and other contract law cases. She also appears at Employment Tribunals in cases involving unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal and discrimination.
She has considerable experience in Criminal Law and has appeared at courts of all level for both prosecution and defence. Philippa is a Grade 2 prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service.
